Job Description

Opportunity:

Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular Surgery, Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

  • Full-time position (0.9-1 FTE), 36-40 hours per week

  • Typically three 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm), not including call

  • OR First Assist responsibilities

  • Scheduled clinic hours

  • Call coverage approximately every 5 weekends

  • Weeknight call from 6pm-6:30am (from home)

  • Weekend call from Friday 6pm through Monday 6:30am (from home)

  • Primarily OR duties with some ICU floor time

  • Experience with Marquet equipment and Cerner EMR preferred

  • EVH (Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting) and first assist experience required

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Approximately 3-4 patient encounters per shift

The facility offers advanced cardiac care services utilizing modern equipment and technology. The medical center features a collaborative surgical team environment where advanced practitioners play a key role in patient care both in the operating room and intensive care settings. The facility utilizes Cerner electronic medical records system and provides care for a diverse patient population.
