Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiovascular
Job Details:
Provide cardiovascular surgery coverage Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Work primarily in operating room with some ICU and floor coverage
Perform chest tube insertions and retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduits
Function as first assistant in operating room procedures
Work under supervision of attending physician Dr. Charles Lutz
Treat adult patient population with varying daily census
Utilize Epic electronic medical record system for documentation
Call coverage optional - primary call requires ICU patient management via telephone
Secondary call position available once weekly and/or one weekend per month
Must have cardiac surgery operating experience including first assist and vein harvest procedures
Robotic surgery experience preferred
Required certifications include NCCPA, active New York state license, BLS, and ACLS
