Opportunity:

Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular Surgery, Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

  • Provide nocturnal coverage of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery patients

  • 7on 7off schedule, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM

  • Manage Vascular surgery ICU patients (co-management with Critical care) and floor patients

  • Cover Cardiothoracic surgery floor patients only (no CT surgery ICU patients)

  • No surgical or operating room responsibilities

  • No call responsibilities

  • Procedures limited to chest tube removal (no insertion) and chest tube management

  • Must have North Carolina license and DEA available that can have address change

  • Typically handle 10-20 patient encounters per shift

  • Must have ACLS and BLS certifications

  • Minimum requirement of board certification eligibility

    This healthcare organization is a Level 1 trauma center with approximately 30 beds in the department. The facility provides comprehensive cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical services with a team of specialized healthcare professionals. The medical center offers advanced surgical care and post-operative management for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions, maintaining high standards of patient care in a collaborative environment.
