Job Description

Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Surgery Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

  • Monday through Friday schedule, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (8-hour shifts)

  • Need provider for at least 3 weeks per month for consistency

  • Call responsibilities: 5% on weekdays, 75% weekends (primarily ER call)

  • Adult patient population only

  • Work distribution: 90% hospital, 10% office/clinic

  • Setting includes both outpatient and inpatient/acute care

  • Daily caseload: 10 patients per day (5 admissions, 5 ICU, 4 surgeries)

  • Work alongside 4 physicians and 7 mid-level providers

  • Epic electronic medical record system

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

  • Must be able to harvest vein and first assist surgeon on all open heart cases

  • Skills required: suturing and pre/post-op surgical care
