Opportunity:

Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

  • Reports to Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons

  • See an average of 5-20 patients per day

  • Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery experience preferred; Critical Care experience will be considered

  • Serve adult and geriatric patient population

  • Utilize Epic EMR system

  • Coverage includes OR Call and ICU/CVICU Call duties

  • Coverage needed from April through July

  • Assist in surgical procedures

  • Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care

  • Conduct patient rounds and interpret diagnostic tests

  • Order appropriate tests as needed

  • Perform vein harvesting procedures

  • Retrieve vascular tissues for use as bypass conduits

  • Must have OR experience and vein harvesting capabilities

  • Board certification required

  • ACLS certification required

  • No new graduates will be considered
