Job Description

Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

  • Provide cardiothoracic surgery care for 10 days/month covering over two weekends

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Work in office hours, inpatient post-op floor, and ICU care

  • 10 days of call per month with 1:3 call ratio

  • Average 12 patients per day

  • Work autonomously with physician rounding daily and available 24/7 by phone

  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system

  • Duties include suture removal, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, writing prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, and pre-op physical exams

  • Care for adult/geriatric patient population

  • Must have ANCC or AANP certification, active OH license, BLS, and ACLS

  • Level 1 trauma center
