Job Description

Opportunity:

Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

  • Provide cardiothoracic surgery support 10 days per month including two weekends from January-April, then TBD

  • Work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday

  • On-call schedule: 10 days of call per month with 1:3 call ratio

  • Setting includes office hours, inpatient post-op floor, and ICU care

  • Average 12 patients per day

  • Work autonomously with supervising physician available by phone and rounding daily

  • Required duties include suture removal, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, writing prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, and pre-op physical exams

  • Patient demographic: adult and geriatric

  • Documentation system: EPIC

  • Level 1 trauma designation

  • Requires active OH license, NCCPA, BLS, and ACLS certifications

    This is a comprehensive medical center providing advanced healthcare services to the community. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center offering specialized care including cardiothoracic surgery. The medical center features multiple locations throughout the region and utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system to ensure coordinated patient care across its network.
