Job Description

Opportunity:

NP;PA - Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

  • Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with night call coverage from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM

  • Weekend call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with morning rounding approximately 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM

  • Handle scheduled surgical cases and rotate on call for emergency off-hours cases

  • Round and see patients in the hospital setting

  • Scrub as First Assist for cardiothoracic surgery procedures

  • Perform endoscopic vein harvesting

  • Handle procedures including CABG, thoracic cases, AVR, TAVR, and aortic cases

  • Scrub with surgical team for scheduled cases or provide hospital coverage

  • Review patient lists and collaborate with team members to divide patient responsibilities

  • Discuss patient issues with physician and obtain sign-off for patient care

  • Communicate with change of shift nursing staff during morning rounds

  • 1 week on/1 week off schedule available for consideration
