Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1025F Forsyth Intensivist
Job Details:
Full-time night shift position working 3, 12-hour shifts weekly from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting with typical APP to patient ratio of 10-15 ICU patients per provider
Collaborate with attending physicians to develop plans of care and communicate dynamic changes throughout shift
Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
Complete order entry using Cerner EMR and provide thorough documentation including History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes, and Procedure Notes
Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate effectively with ICU nursing staff
Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths and introducers) and arterial line insertions
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting required
Must have proficiency with ICU procedures, specifically central and arterial line insertions
Valid national and state licensure required
