Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1025F Forsyth Intensivist

Job Details:

  • Full-time night shift position (3 twelve-hour shifts weekly, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

  • Manage critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting

  • Typical APP to patient ratio is 10-15 ICU patients per APP (with attending MD also available)

  • Collaborate with attending physicians to develop plan of care

  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions

  • Order entry (Cerner EMR) and thorough documentation

  • Interpret diagnostic testing

  • Communicate with ICU nursing staff

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift

  • Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions and arterial line insertions

  • If NP candidate, must be Acute Care Certified

  • Must have valid national and state licensure

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting

  • Proficiency with ICU procedures required
