Primary Care PA-C or ARNP position in Inpatient Psychiatry setting 0.6 FTE (24 hours weekly) Schedule: 4.8 hours per day on Tuesday/Thursday/Friday;9.6 hours on Wednesday Provider covers one floor on Tuesday/Thursday/Friday and two floors on Wednesday Perform routine H&Ps for every new admission Assess and manage medical conditions, including acute complaints and chronic illnesses Complete Treatment Plan goals for medical care as part of an interdisciplinary team Consult with psychiatric providers regarding co-occurring conditions Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate results of prescribed medications Order and interpret laboratory tests as required for medical care Provide substance withdrawal management as needed Accurately document medical care provided Implement antimicrobial stewardship practices Manageable patient volume (4-6 patients per shift) Minimal procedures with outpatient-level primary care expectations Current Washington State ARNP/nursing license required DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority required Current BLS certification required Experience in family practice, geriatric, and young adult populations required Experience with mentally ill populations preferred
