Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Job Details:

  • Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans

  • Work on a PRN basis with ongoing need

  • Option to work half days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours)

  • Conduct one-time non-treatment exams

  • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion and muscle strength testing

  • No prescribing or treatment required

  • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions

  • Follow-up administrative work required including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics

  • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)

  • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified

  • Provider must have their own office to see Veterans

  • Coverage needed in Colby, KS - 4 days per week within 50-mile radius

  • Quick credentialing and onboarding process

  • Weekends can be accepted but are not required
