Position in Level III NICU (16-bed unit) Full-time long-term coverage, 7 days on/7 days off schedule with 12-hour shifts (days or nights) Average 0-2 admissions per shift Average 8-9 patients per day Required to attend C-sections Required to cover Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery Work with a team of 3 neonatologists and 6 pediatric mid-levels plus 1 per diem Neonatologist present during the day and on call available 24 hours Responsible for supervising RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff as needed Procedures include: ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive), chest tube insertion, exchange transfusions, UAC/UVC placement, LPs, management of acute volume/BP issues, insertion of central and arterial lines, and diagnostic/therapeutic taps Documentation system: EPIC Must be board certified in Neonatology or experienced NICU PA Must have active NY license Must have experience and be comfortable managing patients independently
