Job Description

Opportunity:

Advanced Practice (PA) - Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery

Job Details:

  • Work with well-established neurosurgery practice serving adult patients only

  • Position is 50% inpatient rounding and OR, 50% outpatient clinic

  • Collaborate with 4 neurosurgeons and 3 advanced practice providers

  • Call rotation among PAs with 1-2 PAs sharing call Monday-Thursday with physician support

  • Weekend call responsibility is 1:4 with 1 PA and 1 physician, less than 25% in person

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm

  • Call frequency approximately 5-7 days per month

  • Handle 15-35 patient encounters per shift

  • Active Florida license required

  • Current board certification required

  • Minimum 1 year experience as advanced practice provider in Neurosurgery

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Brain/spine experience preferred

  • First assist capabilities desired

  • Ability to read basic imaging preferred
