Opportunity:

Physician Assistant (PA) - Oncology

Job Details:

  • Provide locum coverage in medical oncology at a free-standing cancer center

  • Coverage dates from ASAP through end of September

  • First call coverage for patient and hospital phone calls Tuesday 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM and Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 8:00 AM

  • On-site inpatient rounding on Saturday and Sunday

  • Call rotation every 5-6 weeks depending on staffing

  • Treat adult and geriatric patient population

  • Practice consists of 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology cases

  • See approximately 15 outpatients per day and 20 hospital patients during call/rounding

  • Work with 8 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers

  • Manage bone marrow transplants, blood bank operations, order tests and imaging, and prescribe medications

  • Use EPIC documentation system

  • Board certification in Hematology & Oncology required

  • Active SC license required (will accept providers needing to obtain state license)
