Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Oncology

Job Details:

  • ASAP start for locum surgical oncology NP specializing in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic (HPB)

  • Monday-Friday inpatient coverage

  • Minnesota license required for quick start (will review NPs who are not licensed at this time)

  • Provide independent outpatient care and coordinate pre/post-surgical care

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons and ensure seamless communication

  • Provide inpatient care

  • Assist in OR when necessary (patient prepping, surgical assistance, closure)

  • Perform procedures including wound care and drain care/removal

  • Complete comprehensive patient assessments

  • Determine diagnosis and treatment of illness

  • Order and interpret medical diagnostics

  • Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment

  • Conduct patient education for chronic illness management

  • Refer for specialty care when needed

  • Promote communication within the healthcare team
