Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1089 ? Critical Care Advance Practice
Job Details:
Full-time night shift position working three 12-hour shifts weekly (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Local candidates only
Work in a multi-specialty medical-surgical community hospital ICU alongside attending physicians
Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting with a typical APP to patient ratio of 10-15 ICU patients per APP
Collaborate with attending physicians to develop plans of care and communicate dynamic changes throughout shift
Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
Perform order entry and thorough documentation using Cerner EMR, including History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes, and Procedure Notes
Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate with ICU nursing staff
Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, and introducers) and arterial line insertions
If NP candidate, must be Acute Care Certified (ACNP)
Valid national and state licensure required
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting required
Proficiency with ICU procedures, specifically central and arterial line insertions required (case logs will be requested)
