Opportunity:
NP;PA - Critical Care Medicine
Job Details:
- Provide critical care coverage across Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units in a high-acuity environment
- Manage approximately 10-15 patients per day
- Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients
- Perform bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements
- Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients
- Provide care for neurocritical care patients, including those with subdural hemorrhages and external ventricular drains (EVDs)
- Participate in the management of patients requiring ventricular assist devices (VADs), VA ECMO, and heart transplant support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
- Three APPs provide coverage across the Neuro, Cardiac, and Medical ICU step-down units
- Pulmonary patients are managed in a step-down setting with support from an on-site Pulmonary Fellow
- Trauma and NICU residents are on-site with attending physicians available for consultation and support as needed
- Prior Critical Care APP experience required
- Experience with neurocritical care, cardiovascular critical care, VADs, ECMO, and transplant patients preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians, fellows, residents, and APP colleagues
- Active state license required at time of presentation; IMLC not accepted
