Opportunity:

Advanced Practice (PA) - Nurse Practitioner - General Surgery, Nurse Practitioner - Urology, Nurse Practitioner - Otolaryngology, Physician Assistant - General Surgery


Job Details:

  • Surgical assist role supporting General Surgery as highest priority, with additional support for Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT

  • Average of 90-110 scheduled, non-urgent cases performed per week

  • Cases may occasionally run past 5:00 PM to 6:00 or 7:00 PM; no call expected at this time

  • Work within the OR alongside a surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA

  • Role is focused on assisting in the OR on surgical cases only; no hospital patient management

  • Daily census of approximately 10-30 cases per day

  • No outpatient clinic responsibilities

  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with possible rotating weekends

  • Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift

  • BLS certification required

  • Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible

The facility operates with a well-structured OR team and emphasizes efficiency and quality care for elective surgical cases. With multiple supporting hospital locations in the greater Atlanta area, the organization offers providers exposure to a diverse patient population and collaborative surgical teams.
