Job Description

Opportunity:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Details:

  • 13-week contract starting June 1, 2026

  • 4 ten-hour shifts per week or 3 twelve-hour shifts with weekend availability preferred

  • Requires weekly availability with no rotating weeks on/off

  • Work with patient population from age 13 through end of life

  • Practice in main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center locations

  • Utilize Epic EMR system

  • All CRNA scope of practice required except open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks

  • Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Minimum 2 years experience required with preference for academic background and level 1 or 2 trauma experience

  • Academic Medical Center or Level 1 trauma center experience required

  • Experience working with ASA 3+ patients preferred

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required and must be completed through AHA

  • Virginia nursing license required

  • Board certification required

  • All time off requests must be made upfront

  • Must live 50+ miles from facility

    This prestigious academic medical center operates as a Level 1 trauma center with 600 beds and a comprehensive anesthesia department. The facility features 33 main operating rooms, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 stand-alone GI center rooms. The anesthesia team consists of 60 CRNAs, 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents, providing extensive collaborative support and learning opportunities in a high-volume academic environment.
