Opportunity:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia
Job Details:
Ongoing sporadic coverage for PTO coverage
Guaranteed 8-hour days with variable schedule
No call required - all surgeries are scheduled
Will work with cataract patients (11-15 cases daily) and other procedures (3-4 daily)
Must be able to work independently, with provider or surgeon present
EMR system is EPIC (4-5 hour compensated training required)
Required clinical experience: general surgery (adult and pediatric), minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ventilation management, local infiltration
Common procedures include cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, and total knee procedures
No pain management cases
No new graduates - experienced CRNAs only
Must be local/within driving distance
Required credentials: Active Iowa license, NBCRNA, BLS, ACLS, PALS
COVID vaccine required
Facility:
This medical center is a Level 4 Trauma facility with approximately 5, 000 annual ER visits. The surgical department features 2 operating rooms staffed with surgical techs, RNs and CRNAs. The facility employs multiple surgeons specializing in total hip and knee replacements, scopes, cataracts, and other minor surgeries. The medical center uses EPIC as their electronic medical records system and provides comprehensive surgical services to the community.
