Job Details:
40-hours of scheduled work per week with continuous full-time coverage
Varied shifts including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts plus coverage for 24-hour and 16-hour shifts
Call required: 1 weekend call shift per month and 2 weeknight call shifts per month
Option to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday regular shift every 3 months to replace one call option
Schedule provided 6 weeks in advance
Patient population includes adolescent, child, adult, and geriatric (90%+ patients over age 12)
Supervision-based anesthesia with maximum 4: 1 ratio
Experience with various case types including: gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, spine, cranial, plastics, lungs, healthy pediatrics, eye, GI, structural hearts, EP, endoscopy, and interventional radiology
Perform spinal blocks and occasionally arterial lines
Must be comfortable with Level II Trauma cases
No burns, transplants, open heart, sick pediatrics, or OB cases
EMR: EPIC
Minimum experience: 1 year (6 months minimum may be considered)
Board certification required
6-month to 1-year contract preferred

This facility is a comprehensive regional medical center with 378 beds offering a wide range of medical services. The surgical department features 17 main operating rooms, 7 day surgery center rooms, plus specialty areas including catheterization labs, endoscopy, and radiology. The medical center serves as a Level II Trauma Center and provides advanced surgical and medical care to patients throughout the region. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records system and provides scrubs in the department.
