Job Details:
13-week contract starting April 6, 2026 with extension options available
Requires weekly availability with preference not to rotate weeks on/weeks off
Schedule options: (4) 10-hour shifts per week or (3) 12-hour shifts per week with Saturday availability preferred
One rotating Saturday per month required - NO CALL
All time off requests must be made upfront with consecutive time off over 5 days not approved during summer months
Work locations include main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center with option to practice at any location
Patient population ranges from age 13 to end of life
Provide anesthesia services across 33 main ORs, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 GI center rooms
All CRNA scope of practice required
Cases exclude: open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks
Work with ASA 3+ patients regularly
Electronic Medical Record system: Epic
Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (must be AHA certified)
Minimum 2 years experience required with preference for academic background and level 1 or 2 trauma experience
Virginia state license required

This is a 600-bed Level 1 trauma center academic medical facility providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The anesthesia department consists of 60 CRNAs working alongside 70 attending anesthesiologists and 60 anesthesia residents, creating a collaborative and educational environment. The facility operates multiple surgical locations including a main operating room suite, outpatient surgery centers, and specialized procedure areas, offering diverse clinical experiences and advanced medical care.
