Opportunity:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Details:

  • 13-week contract starting June 1, 2026

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week or three 12-13 hour shifts each week plus one rotating Saturday per month

  • Requires weekly availability with preference not to rotate weeks on/weeks off

  • Weekend coverage may be required

  • No call responsibilities

  • Work at multiple locations including main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center

  • Provide anesthesia services for patient population ages 13 through end of life

  • Practice within full CRNA scope except open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks

  • Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Epic EMR system experience preferred

  • Must have valid ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA

  • Board certification required

  • Virginia license required

  • Minimum 2 years experience required, preferably with academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience

  • All time off requests must be made upfront

  • Time off requests exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during summer months

  • Must live 50+ miles from facility

    This prestigious academic medical center operates as a Level 1 trauma center with 600 beds and an extensive anesthesia department. The facility features a comprehensive team of 60 CRNAs, 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents providing coverage across 33 main ORs, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 standalone GI center rooms. The medical center offers diverse clinical experiences across multiple specialties and practice settings.
