Advanced Practice - (CRNA) - Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:
Work 4/10-hour shifts with an additional required 30-minute unpaid break per shift
Coverage needed every week as part of six 40-hour CRNA FTEs
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Work alongside 16 employed anesthesiologists and 52 employed CRNAs
Primarily uses medical direction model with supplemental personally performed MD cases
Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred in EP/Cath Lab, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, and GI Suite
Handle diverse surgical cases including cardiac, complete orthopedic, complex vascular, head/spine, neuro, OB, pediatric, regional, and thoracic procedures
Perform general anesthesia for adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma cases
Administer spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia for surgical procedures
Manage obstetrical and neurosurgical cases including head and spine procedures
Provide open heart anesthesia and thoracic case management
Execute complex vascular and orthopedic case anesthesia
Utilize pain management techniques and post-operative care including epidurals and extremity blocks
Perform epidural steroid injections for lumbar and cervical areas with transforaminal approaches
Use x-ray guidance for block performance and manage ventilation
Handle acute volume/BP issues and perform central line, arterial line, and PA catheter placement
Provide CRNA supervision as needed
Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience required
