Job Details:
13-week contract with options to extend
Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour shifts or (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week, plus 1 rotating Saturday each month
Weekly availability required; preference given to candidates who do not rotate weeks on/weeks off
Weekend availability preferred, including Saturdays and Sundays when possible
All time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved prior to acceptance; time off exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during Summer months
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered
Patient population ranges from age 13 through end of life
Level 1 trauma center environment with a large anesthesia team including 60 CRNAs, approximately 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents
Anesthesia team covers 33 ORs in the main OR, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 stand-alone GI center rooms
Practice settings include inpatient and outpatient, with options to practice at main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center
Cases excluded include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and performing peripheral nerve blocks
All CRNA scopes of practice required
EMR system: Epic (preferred experience)
Hospital bed size: 600 beds
Minimum of 2 years of experience required; academic background and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience preferred
One year of Academic Medical Center or Level 1 trauma center experience required; regular experience with ASA 3+ patients preferred
Outpatient-only candidates will be considered but recent inpatient experience is preferred
Board Certification required
Active Virginia state license required
ACLS and BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA
2 professional references or reference contact information must be provided with submittal
