Job Description

Opportunity:

Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular Surgery, Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

  • Provide nocturnal coverage of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery patients

  • Work 7 on/7 off schedule with 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM

  • Manage vascular surgery patients in ICU (co-management with Critical Care) and floor patients

  • Cover cardiothoracic surgery floor patients only - no CT surgery ICU patients

  • No surgical or operating room responsibilities and no call requirements

  • Perform chest tube removal and management (no insertion required)

  • Handle 10-20 patient encounters per shift

  • Long-term position with minimum 3-month duration and strong potential for extension

  • Must have NC license and DEA available with ability to change address

  • Board certification required with fellowship preferred

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
