Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage for 6-9 month assignment
Work Monday through Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities (1-2 weekdays and weekends)
Night call coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Setting includes 5% office/clinic and 95% hospital-based care
Full-time (1.0 FTE) position serving adult patients (100%)
Manage 5-10 hospital patients per day with 0-3 admissions and 2-7 ICU patients
Participate in 1-2 surgeries per day
Perform general cardiovascular/thoracic surgery procedures including coronary artery bypass surgery on pump
Conduct valvular repair and replacement procedures
Provide patient management in acute care and ICU settings
Work with EPIC electronic medical record system
Collaborate with team including 2 physicians, 4 midlevels, and RN navigators
OR experience required along with cardiothoracic surgery background
Must be able to assist in surgery, round on patients, and provide clinic supportFacility:
