Opportunity:

Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Cardiovascular Surgery, Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

  • Minimum requirement of 40 hours per week, daylight hours only

  • Open to 7 days on/7 days off schedule if preferred, can work with ideal schedule

  • Coverage of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients

  • No surgical or operating room responsibilities

  • No call requirements

  • Procedures include removal of chest tubes and bedside pleurodesis

  • Floor patients only, no CT-surgery ICU patients

  • Inpatient care with rounding, consults, admissions/discharges

  • Minimal solo coverage, typically working with one or two other APPs

  • 8-14 patient encounters per shift

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

It is a Level 1 trauma center that provides comprehensive cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical services. The facility offers advanced cardiac care with a collaborative environment where providers work alongside other advanced practice providers and physicians to deliver specialized patient care.
