Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Job Details:

  • Join a Cardiovascular Surgery team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

  • 4-day, 10-hour workweek schedule

  • 1 in 4 weeks on call (first call from home)

  • 1 weekend shift per month

  • Rounding position with no OR responsibilities

  • Average patient load of 15 patients per day (higher on weekends)

  • Patient care includes CVICU, CVSU, and vascular patients

  • Weekend patient lists range from 15-30 patients

  • Documentation system: Epic

  • Board Certification as an APP required

  • Active Michigan license required

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • Must be an experienced provider - new graduates not accepted

    This healthcare facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center with comprehensive cardiovascular services including both cardiac and vascular surgery. The hospital features dedicated cardiovascular intensive care and step-down units, providing advanced care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. The facility utilizes the Epic electronic medical record system and offers a collaborative environment with a team of cardiac and vascular surgeons.
