Opportunity:

Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Job Details:

  • Join the Cardiovascular Surgery team as an Advanced Practice Provider (PA)

  • 4-day, 10-hour shifts workweek

  • 1 in 4 weeks on call (first call from home)

  • 1 weekend per month required

  • No OR responsibilities - this is a rounder position

  • Manage patients in CVICU, CVSU, and vascular patients between ICU and floors

  • Average of 15 patients per day (weekends can be 15-30 patients)

  • Documentation system: Epic

  • Must be board certified as an APP

  • Active Michigan medical license required

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • Experience required - new graduates not accepted

    • Facility:

    This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center providing comprehensive cardiovascular surgical services. The cardiovascular team consists of cardiac and vascular surgeons supported by Advanced Practice Providers. The hospital utilizes Epic as its electronic medical record system and offers a collaborative environment where providers work as part of an integrated care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
