Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1089 ? Critical Care Advance Practice
Job Details:
Full-time night shift position working 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Manage critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting with typical ratio of 10-15 ICU patients per APP
Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and communicate patient care plans
Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
Order entry using Cerner EMR and thorough documentation of History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes and Procedure Notes
Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate with ICU nursing staff
Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths and introducers) and arterial line insertions
If NP candidate, must be Acute Care certified
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting
Proficiency with ICU procedures specifically central and arterial line insertions required
