Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

Function as sole provider covering Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical unit
PRN coverage needed for multiple shifts from December 2025 through May 2026
Work with nursing support team of 1 provider and 2 RNs
Collaborate with ancillary staff including 1 Paramedic and occasionally CNAs and NPNs
Manage emergency care, inpatient care, and skilled care procedures
Access to 2 exam rooms per provider
Medical imaging and lab/pharmacy services available
Average ER volume of 3.6 patients daily
Average Med/Surg census of 1.4 patients daily
Work with EPIC electronic medical record system
Must be Board Certified
Must have active Iowa license
Must have DEA and CSR certifications
Clean malpractice/background history required
