DO;MD - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
Must have Illinois license and be board certified in Gastroenterology
Minimum availability of 5 consecutive shifts per month required, with preference for more
Provide general GI care for acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
Conduct new patient evaluations and provide ongoing patient care
Perform endoscopic procedures with monitored anesthesia or moderate sedation
Provide hospital consultations and patient admissions
Balance between ambulatory, inpatient, and emergency department coverage
Typical schedule includes 3 days in clinic and 2 days in endoscopy suite for a 5-day week
Endoscopy procedures limited to 12 scopes per day with monitored anesthesia
Utilize full anesthesia (Propofol) or moderate sedation (Versed and Fentanyl) for procedures
ERCP/EUS experience not required
Board eligible candidates accepted if within 5 years of graduation, but must achieve board certification within 5 years
Clinic patient volume negotiable to accommodate inpatient consultation needsFacility:
