Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
Immediate coverage need for Advanced Gastroenterologist position
Inhouse call coverage with 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) plus 12 hours on-call (8:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
Average 15-20 patients per day plus 5 procedures
Schedule requires 1-2 weeks per month commitment, with preference for minimum 2 weeks monthly availability
Average 0-10 calls during on-call hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Average 1-3 callbacks overnight per week within 24-hour period
Work within established regional advanced endoscopy program offering full spectrum of advanced endoscopic services
Perform advanced ERCP, therapeutic EUS, and advanced resection modalities
Must have completed three-year GI fellowship plus fourth-year fellowship in advanced endoscopy
Required ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology with ERCP training
Must demonstrate current competence with minimum 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in past 12 months
Board certification required with ACLS certification
Must provide case logs using ProVation or similar GI documentation system for past 12 months
