Opportunity:
NP/PA - Trauma Surgery
Job Details:
Function primarily as trauma hospitalist rounder with some intermittent ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures work
Coverage dates from May through July with up to full-time work available
No call requirements - in-house only during scheduled shifts
Round on 10-14 admitted patients per day if non-ICU, 6 patients if ICU
Handle admitting/ED cases ranging from 2-15 patients per 24-hour period
Work autonomously with 24-hour trauma surgeon staffing support
Treat patients aged 0-100+ with primary focus on adult and adolescent demographics
Respond to ED for trauma alerts and facilitate discharges
Provide daily rounding and management of all conditions without hospitalist support
Required procedures include non-invasive vent management, ventilation management, chest tube insertion, central line placement, arterial line placement, and suturing minor lacerations
Must be Board Certified (ACNP, AGNP, or PA-C) with minimum 1 year inpatient APP experience
ATLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
NOC shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AMFacility:
