Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments to obtain complete and accurate clinical information and medical symptoms
Order tests and exams to ensure proper and complete patient care
Diagnose patient needs and develop appropriate plans of care based on assessment findings
Interpret patient care tests and exams to guide treatment decisions
Provide treatment and oversee care provided by others, including appropriate prescriptive practice
Utilize advanced specialty knowledge in neonatology to ensure appropriate, effective, timely, and cost-efficient care
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as defined by scope of practice
Ensure appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care
Conduct and coordinate patient and family education to increase knowledge and support continuum of care
Train other staff in areas of clinical expertise and teach students as appropriate
Stay current with healthcare trends and participate in continuing medical education
Coordinate and collaborate patient care efforts with other healthcare providers
Communicate clinical information accurately and thoroughly to other care providers
Must hold current APRN license and Nurse Practitioner certification
BLS certification required, along with additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP
Must be eligible for State Controlled Substance License and Federal DEA CertificateFacility:
