Job Description

Opportunity:

Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery, Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery

Job Details:

  • Work 7 on/7 off schedule with 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am)

  • Provide 100% inpatient floor coverage with no OR responsibilities

  • No call coverage required - regular scheduled hours only

  • Handle approximately 10 patient encounters per shift

  • Manage split case mix between spinal and cranial neurosurgical patients

  • Provide post-operative care and neurocritical care management

  • Work with responsibilities in MICU, SICU, and ED

  • Collaborate with a team of 7 neurosurgeons

  • Strong neurosurgical background required with trauma experience

  • Experience in neurocritical care essential for ICU-level patient acuity

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Board certification or board certification eligibility required

    This is a Level 1 trauma center that provides comprehensive neurosurgical services with a dedicated team of specialists. The facility maintains a robust neurosurgery program with 10 beds in the department and offers advanced neurocritical care capabilities. The organization is equipped to handle complex spinal and cranial cases, providing high-level tertiary care services to the region.
