Physician - Oncology
Job Details:
Provide malignant hematology coverage from July through September 2026 with potential for extension
Split responsibilities between outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding on alternating weeks
Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with one hour lunch break
See 15-20 patients daily with new visits scheduled for 45 minutes and follow-up visits for 20 minutes
Handle leukemia, lymphoma, and malignant hematology cases (bone marrow transplant patients excluded)
Develop treatment plans for new patients and manage follow-up visits
Complete all clinic charting during scheduled hours
Provide weeknight pager call coverage Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Serve as second call support for fellows on overnight duty
Work 1-2 weekends per month from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 8:00 AM for rounding and call
Collaborate with APP team on inpatient service
Must have previous malignant hematology experience
Board certification in Hematology required along with BLS, ACLS, PA license, and PA DEA
Work with support team including 4 physicians, APPs, RNs, and medical assistants
