Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Surgery Oncology

Job Details:

  • ASAP start needed for locum APP surgical oncology candidate specializing in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic (HPB)

  • Monday through Friday inpatient coverage

  • Minnesota license required for quick start

  • Position provides both independent outpatient care and inpatient care

  • Coordinate pre- and post-surgical care for patients

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons ensuring seamless communication

  • Assist in the OR when necessary (patient prepping, surgical assistance, and closure)

  • Perform various procedures including wound care and drain care/removal

  • Complete comprehensive patient assessments

  • Determine diagnosis and treatment of illness

  • Order and interpret medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician

  • Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment

  • Conduct patient education for chronic illness management or wellness care

  • Promote communication within the healthcare team
