Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Orthopedic
Job Details:
Collaborate with attending physicians to prepare patient histories, develop care plans, and participate in daily rounds
Utilize electronic medical record for order entry and documentation
Participate in multidisciplinary rounding and quality/safety initiatives
Order and perform diagnostic studies such as EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, and various imaging studies
Perform procedures including digital blocks, regional anesthesia, minor outpatient surgical procedures, tendon repair, wound closure, and management
Conduct joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections, and apply braces, casts and splints
Assist in surgery as first assist, performing deep and superficial tissue closures
Serve as primary orthopedic call for patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units
Participate in call coverage including weekday, weekend and 24-hour call
Evaluate clinical conditions, implement treatment plans, and dictate discharge summaries
Must be board certified with Oregon license
Requires ability to work independently and effectively in stressful/emergent situationsFacility:
