Job Description

Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

  • Provide inpatient consults, emergency department consults, and transfer evaluations

  • Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders

  • Conduct injection of varices and diagnostic/therapeutic ERCP procedures

  • Perform PEG tube placements and esophageal dilatation/manometry

  • Interpret esophageal manometry studies and perform small bowel biopsies

  • Conduct lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy

  • Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities

  • Execute liver biopsies and manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion

  • ERCP experience preferred for this gastroenterology position

  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred

  • Board certification required with fellowship training

  • ACLS certification required
