Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
Provide gastroenterology coverage with ERCP required
Work Monday through Friday 9-hour shifts with 1-hour lunch (8 billable hours) plus 15-hour overnight call
Weekend call coverage for 24 hours
Complete block coverage required - must have full availability for all requested dates
Work independently without scribe or assistant support
Responsible for all charting and work completion
Review pathology results and communicate follow-up recommendations to patients through nurses
Perform hospital procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement
ERCP/EUS preferred procedures
Utilize 4 procedure rooms/endoscopy suites with Olympus equipment
Conduct hydrogen breath testing and capsule endoscopy
Administer propofol sedation
Use Cerner, gGastro, and Athena EMR systems
Average 12 patients per day for procedures with fewer inpatient consultations
Board certification required with fellowship training
ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
MI medical license requiredFacility:
