Opportunity:
Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
12-month locum to permanent gastroenterology opportunity
Clinic hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Shared call structure with offsite coverage (30-minute response time for emergency consultations, 12 hours for routine)
Called in after hours 1-2 times per week, most commonly for active bleeding cases
Average 12-14 procedures per day with APP support provided
Required procedures include upper endoscopies (EGD) and colonoscopies
ERCP experience required at mid-level/moderate complexity (EUS and EMR not required)
Specialty procedures include esophageal/duodenal stent placement, argon plasma coagulation, biopsies, polypectomy, diagnostic and therapeutic EGD, esophageal dilation, foreign body removal, flexible sigmoidoscopy, GI motility studies, pH monitoring, hemostasis, and PEG procedures
Patient population includes non-compliant patients who often bring family members to appointments
Pleasant work culture with emphasis on strong relationship building and communication skills
