Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology/Oncology Full-time
Job Details:
Full-time Hematology/Oncology coverage with ongoing need and minimum 6-month commitment
5 clinic days per week with 8-hour day shifts starting at 8:00 AM
First patient scheduled at 8:15/8:30 AM, last patient at 3:30 PM with 30-minute lunch
Weekend coverage 2 weekends per month and night call 10 days per month with 1:2 call rotation
Weeknight call coverage from 4:15 PM to 8:00 AM with typically 2-3 patient calls between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM
Weekend 24-hour call coverage includes 2 hours gratis rounding on Saturday/Sunday
Adult Hematology & Oncology in rural community setting averaging 15 patients per day
Patient mix is 60% Hematology and 40% Oncology including solid tumor oncology, benign hematology, and malignant hematology
14-chair infusion center onsite with 2-bed infusion room and oncology-certified nursing staff
Radiation Oncology located onsite with established patient panel already in place
Consulting service only with hospitalists managing admissions
Work alongside 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians onsite, 3 APPs, and onsite pharmacist support
Participation in disease-specific and general tumor boards
EPIC EMR system utilized
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology required
Minimum 1 year experience and DEA required
