Physician - Oncology

Job Details:

  • Provide medical oncology coverage in a free-standing cancer center setting

  • Treat adult and geriatric patient populations

  • Practice consists of 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology cases

  • See approximately 25 outpatients per day and 20 hospital patients for rounding

  • Work alongside 7 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers

  • No call schedule during locum assignment period

  • Utilize EPIC documentation system

  • Required to work 4 weeks per month with 4 days availability each week

  • Minimum 6-month initial contract commitment required

  • Participate in tumor board meetings

  • Manage bone marrow transplant patients

  • Handle blood bank responsibilities

  • Order diagnostic tests and imaging studies

  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans

  • Board certification in Hematology/Oncology required

  • Active South Carolina medical license required

  • Current BLS and DEA certification required
