Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to cover the equivalent of 2 FTEs
Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
Preference for providers open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated freestanding emergency rooms
Main hospital campus may consider less than 12-hour shifts; affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts
State-of-the-art modern emergency department with complete renovation and expansion in 2022
18-bed emergency department with an annual ED volume of 20,000 patients
Physician coverage is 24 hours daily in 12-hour shifts
APP coverage provided during peak times
EMR system and dictation technology available
AHCA Primary Stroke Center Designation
Phlebotomy support available during surges, difficult sticks, or sepsis/stroke alerts
Imaging services include MRI, CT scan, X-ray, and Ultrasound
ACLS required
Current ED volume is approximately 60 patients per day, ranging from low 50s in summer up to 70 patients per day January through March
APP coverage hours vary by season
ED provider shifts run 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Must guarantee a minimum of 6 to 8 shifts per month
Must be willing to work at freestanding emergency departments associated with the main facility
