Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide locum coverage equivalent to 2 FTEs
Internal Medicine and Family Medicine boards accepted with a waiver and 2 years of current practice
Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
Preference for providers open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated freestanding emergency departments
Main hospital campus may consider less than 12-hour shifts; affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts
State-of-the-art modern emergency department with complete renovation and expansion
18-bed emergency department with an annual volume of 20,000 patients
Physician coverage provided 24 hours daily with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
APP coverage available during peak times
EMR system: Meditech P-doc with M-Modal Dictation
AHCA Primary Stroke Center Designation
On-site imaging available including MRI, CT scan, X-ray, and Ultrasound
Phlebotomy support available during surges, difficult sticks, or sepsis/stroke alerts
ACLS required
Current ED volume approximately 60 patients per day, with volume increasing to 70 patients per day January through March
Must guarantee a minimum of 6-8 shifts per month
Must be willing to work at freestanding emergency departments associated with the main facility
