Physician - Emergency Medicine


Job Details:

  • Provide emergency medicine coverage at a freestanding emergency department (FSED) in a suburban setting

  • Shift times are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

  • No call coverage required

  • 12-bed facility with a census of fewer than 30 patients per day and fewer than 10 daily admissions

  • Perform all standard emergency department procedures including sedation, intubation, and central lines

  • Work alongside a support staff of 2-3 RNs and a radiology technician

  • One emergency medicine physician on staff per shift

  • Must be ABEM certified or eligible and graduated from an emergency medicine residency program

  • Ability to function independently in an FSED setting with limited orientation (2-4 hours)

  • No trauma center designation; typical suburban FSED volume and patient mix

  • 6-month duration of need

  • 1-2 positions available
