Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to float between two facilities
Primary need is for night shift coverage
Shift options available include 8-hour, 11-hour, and 12-hour shifts
Trauma Level 3 facility with 32 total beds and an annual ER volume of 55,000
EMR system used is Meditech
Physicians are not responsible for codes
Admissions are handled by the hospitalist or admitting service
APP coverage is available on site
Approximately 30% of ED patients are admitted to the hospital per day
On-call physicians are required to respond within 30 minutes per hospital bylaws
Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not handled in the ED
ED is responsible for monitoring and supervising paramedics and ambulance by radio
Active Massachusetts license highly preferred; MA licensed providers will be given priority
BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency required
Must be a local provider; no flights will be reimbursed
