Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) positions available across multiple sites
ABEM board certification required
Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required, or family medicine with emergency medicine fellowship
All shifts are 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Single physician coverage at each site with APP support
On-site coverage includes weekends and nights, no call required
Patient populations vary by site including elderly patients, winter Texans, nursing home patients, and mixed demographics
All sites see high acuity cases; Northwest and Doctors Regional sites are Level IV trauma centers
Average daily patient census ranges from 45 to 80 patients depending on site
Required procedures include intubation, central line placement, ultrasound utilization, OB delivery, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, and laceration repair
APP support coverage varies by site ranging from 9 to 24 hours per day
Onboarding includes 2-hour orientation on EMR and local quality measures, plus 2-3 required shadow shifts
Case logs will be required for credentialing
1-year duration of need with 2 to 4 positions available
